@Hawkee what about adding a report function next to Like and Comment, so you users could report useless spam? Just to keep spam away from hawkee?
@sagargulati it MUST be invalid. Do you run your own BNC server? If so, just change the pass.. then it might work.
@TMFKSOFT that would make it a ton of work to do. Since I would have to do it for everything. This kind of works pretty well :O
$AntiAbuse was just a mistake that it doesn't do that.
The infinite loop is there with a reason. If you read what I actually stated in the description, this was built for an IRC bot. So constant fetching of data from a socket. Thus making it useless to execute code after the while(1), since the data has to be parsed first, and then dealt with according to what the bot needs. It's just a simple fix for getting a working timer.
what's so insecure about it? OH! the eval in the code? Yea, I know. That's why only this command should be used from within the script and not from outsiders (e.g. people on IRC). I have it running on a bot of mine and it works perfect with that timer and that doesn't make it insecure since I'm the only one who uses it. But if you are working with multiple scripters (or owners) I wouldn't use this, yes.
I was thinking of buying a computer for myself. I thought about second hand computers mainly for testing things (and running Debian as OS instead of VM). Is a Dell Poweredge 1850 good for this? I can get one pretty cheap and it seems to meet all my specifications for what I need. 2GB ram, dual intel Xeon processor at 2.8gHz. 2 HDD's with 73GB storage each, not like I'll use it as a NAS server :P. Or does anyone have a suggestion what I should instead of the PE1850?
@Hawkee when you view the thing you get noticed about (and the email you get), it doesn't remove the notice thingy. Would be nice if it got removed once you view the comment on the status update/script.
I finally found something to do! I'm currently developing RedStone, a Perl IRC bot! And I even learned to use GIT for that! https://bitbucket.org/RussellB28/redstone Enough to do and to add! If you have a suggestion, let me know! I might add it!
I must say, it's a great tablet for daily use! It has quite a high storage capacity. The actual con is that the pen damages the screen. I have updated it to android 3.2 and it's performing really well. Unlike Samsung devices you don't need Kies (or whatever) to get an android update. I got the complete package with USB-cable, charger, pen and a bit more for 230 euros. Which is extremely decent for a fast tablet!
