UPDATE !! http://www.hawkee.com/snippet/8930/ !!

This is the third instalment of my IRC Art conversions.

To use simply put the text files into your root mirc folder, then use this command to activate each one
/alias (command) play $active (text file).txt 1000
Then to msg it to channel use the /(command)
1000 = 1 second per line.. you can edit that to your own value.

For example:
To active the art file at 1 line every 2 seconds
/alias bunny play $active bunny.txt 2000
then to trigger (msg the art file into the channel)
/bunny

All text files files are contained within a rar file here:
http://www.fractalscapes.net/designs/mirc/art-vol3.rar

simply unrar the ones you want, and make reference to each one as explained above

Example of art file "batman"
if your too dumb to read the description, you deserve to fail

Pangaea: I commonly go to one server that (or at least USED TO) filter all messages while passing through to allow only one space between characters. So instead of going:

Hello my name is IllogicTC

it would remove all excess spaces and make it

Hello my name is IllogicTC

EDIT: This comment system even removes excess spaces, so my example above didn't work =(

There are a few that do this, probably to help inhibit on white-space floods. However yes, echoing to yourself and also transmitting on servers that do not filter out excess spaces do work fine, and of course look good =D

That's why I was suggesting to Annaiidziithaa to make it to do underscores, since I can't think of any servers that filter out excess repetitive characters, though there may be bots that do which would be a caveat.

I only say this on Some servers Can not be viewed by other users, I will not comment further, With The first comment I said Was Enough to Understand what I said.

IllogicTC: They should display exactly the same for everyone as long as its a default configured Mirc, with fixdays font at size 6 ... Of course any other font variation or size then the images wont display as well.

Annaiidziithaa: To be honest, im not entirely sure what you mean... if you mean the spaces in the code are not displaying , yes then you need to replace the spaces with a 0,0 along with a character for example 0 .... I used a converter to convert them that way.. which only took a spilt second, I simply dont have the time or will to replace all the spaces with 0.0 values. If there are some images you want you can edit them in yourself, or even add your own customised text, or build a script around the art files.. up to you :)

best of luck with it

I know that if I put the color code can be displayed, too many pictures, I have thought about the problem, just wanted to report the problem to the author, nothing more, I think if you have plenty of time to solve the whole pack of drawings.

These drawings can be viewed only as intended if the same person who installs it on your script launches the channel and see it from your screen, I have used the latest version of mirc, and the result is fatal, here's a screenshot of the result as seen from the script output -> http://imageshack.us/f/855/captura1p.png/ , and here as seen by users on the channel -> http://imageshack.us/f/8/captura2d.png/ ... there is any way that when you throw it look good from another script? , no other users can view the pictures as shown in the catch of the author.

This is partially dependent on the setup of the server you are connected to. Some allow excess space, while others trim excess space so only one space can exist between characters. A way to get around this would be time-consuming, but you could make all the space areas be color 0,0 underscores or something.

Something which no one has seemed to have brought up, but this code can be modified to run to your @Windows, if you find you may require them to do so, or echo to the server screen on start to go inline with a theme (I guess a Batman theme or something?) which would add a nice extra touch to your theme.

Also, I do enjoy your attention to detail, including shading and whatnot instead of basic outlines or something. Good work.

heres another one that dosnt bother reading last relevant text
Aha2Y, if you take time out to study carefully what i said to jethro right above your last post
I grab sprites from the web, sometimes from sprite sheets or other icon type website, I then size them to their raw pixles - i bring up an mirc pallet in photoshop and begin to replace each colour from the original image with mirc closest equivalent, After that i whip it into another image to mirc converter. I save any further editing there out as the final text file.

Its really quite easy, and dosent take any time at all.. apart from the photoshop cleanup stage

If anyone is interested I can do a vid tutorial on one example and provide links to any tools needed, such as the converter.

When i thought to make these I honestly figured folks might like them.. and to some extent be grateful.. never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be consistently and persistently attacked for providing them on all 3 posts. I dunno what happened to hawkee in recent years but there is most certainly a distinct sting in the air from some users that ive noticed (not just these posts but from around the site in general). Due to this shameful almost childlike behaviour from some I wont bother posting any more of these here, or any other post for that matter. Someone else can take the arbitrary abuse for what seems "abuse sake" ... but eh, i suppose its the same with a lot of things.. the kids have to take over eventually.

Thankyou hawkee for all the years, and thanks for all the wonderful help and scripts (you all know who you are)
its been fun!

Im sure you don't made it your self.Aha2y, when you accuse someone of "ripping" or "stealing," make sure you have proof. Otherwise what you've said is as flimsy as it gets. :P

yea.. special occasions only.. i hardly intended them to be used all the time
most of the designs selves I cant really take the credit for.. I just prepare/clean them up in ps then convert them, but tnx :D
not much of this irc colour block (as opposed to acsai art) art about.. so thought to make a bunch.. ill do some more in the next few weeks,.. of course any realistic "doable" requests are welcome .. just take into consideration the pixlelisation and mirc colour pallet when thinking of something

Well, be sure these artworks are not to display in a busy channel, because with a timed output, they can still get cut off and come out in fragments. Nice ASCII art creation, Pangaea.

/bunny

All text files files are contained within a rar file here:

simply unrar the ones you want, and make reference to each one as explained above
