Uploaded a new file due to a very minor change. It was reported the channel popup 'Control' didn't display as Half-Op - this has been corrected.

Thanks! I feel the love. I need to try to come on here now and then [will have to be brief as I am so much older now... less time]! :) The other script sites I knew of seemed kind of stagnant. Wow, Hawkee is pretty nifty now.. you can add friends and stuff... this will be the first social networking site I've participated in.. and friending everyone because I am in a great mood. <3

***I hope I'm not misusing the friends feature and everyone is actually a snob here :P

Keep up the good work, polarisirc!

I fully understand your nostalgic retrospection; unfortunately that is what we call life, and nothing stays the same forever. The old days will still live on in our fond memories for the longest time. Best wishes to all of us and our future.

Well, I modernized it quite a bit (with 4.x) to add lots of options like multi-network support, blowfish encryption, automated lists (op/hop/voice/etc), channel protection, new xdcc system (where 'xdcc send list' sends a .txt listing of files), etc. I noticed there was a lacking of dialogs so that's really been my focus for these versions.. I implemented dialogs for a lot of features that were popup based (and in process of doing so for next version). My future goal would be to port Polaris to mIRC v7.x. A more comprehensive list of overall features is at http://polaris.sitesled.com/features.html . There have been TONS of changes in code not reflected anywhere however. I can say I'm quite happy that it's been a bug free script for a very long time and is most definitely more than a file serving script these days. I'm happy to know there are some old school people still using IRC.... I can honestly say that all of my friends from the late 90's/early 00's are no longer on IRC and more or less plain ol' disappeared a very long time ago. :( Hope everyone is doing well. RIP #Warez-Central @ DALnet :)

Also it's very nice to see that even now mIRC has an active scripting/development community (despite the massive amount of users that have moved onto social networking/instant messanger type stuff).

legendary. Polaris was the first fileserv script i ever used, back when file serving was ubiquitous on IRC. it's remarkable to see it still being developed ;P

Thanks! :) Slowly working on version 4.3. Can't believe over a decade later and I still try to find time to work on it... after many years and due to fan requests, I decided to work on it again (which is why there is a version 4+). Also, if anyone is interested in contributing do contact me. There's always things I'd like to do (mostly UI related) but am limited in development time.
