No I don't mean it that way. I want an option where you are only going to pass true or false. I don't want duplicates. If you can see on Facebook they don't allow duplicates on tags in statuses. Its multiple mentions only duplicates are not allowed.
@Hawkee sorry bro its been a while. Anyway, I'd like to rephrase my comment.
Instead of explaining what will happened, can you make an option where "@mention" can only be used by one tagged person per textbox? Its still multiple only it checks whether the"@mention" user is already mentioned.
@Hawkee just wondering.
what if the "@mention" is already existing in the textarea? e.g. "@hawkee hello mate @hawkee" //should the hidden tag be: "@[hawkeeid] hello mate @hawkee"
@Hawkee thanks mate! this is really great!!!
@Hawkee compare your demo tho this one http://jsfiddle.net/LHNky/
@Hawkee there's stil something... lets say you have this string : "@peterwateber something something @peterwateber" when push the up andown arrow key and your focus goes to the textarea, it clears the text "something" and after you blur, it shows the full text again.
@Hawkee wow this is great!! you should update also your live demo
@Hawkee thanks man I already firgured out the posting part let me check the new code i'll send my feedback. thanks :)
@Hawkee when you try to @mention someone like this:
"@hawke sdfsdfsdf @hawke"... when you try to do the @mention twice the drop down appears and does clearing the textarea and when the focus is not on the dropdown the textarea appears with values.
@Hawkee I noticed than when you focus on the drop down the item does not return a value to the textbox... can you do something about it?
Btw, I don't know if its my internet or not but I'm having trouble in opening your site as of now I'm in cache mode
