This was inspired by FPV cycle Baby tooth 1S.
Unfortunately, I was not able to source the FPV cycle parts. I had to find something to replace them.
- I have ended using CrazybeeX Flight controller.
- I have desoldered motor plugs and soldered engine wires directly. This was mainly due to FlyWoo motors didn't have plugs.
- I have desoldered both antennas. The receiver antenna was replaced by FrSky receiver linear antenna. VTX antenna was replaced with bipole linear antenna. In both cases, I had to solder to the signal pad and the nearest GND. I do not have any photos of this, unfortunately.
- To be able to access the USB connector without removing the FC from the frame I have flipped FC upside down. After this, you will have to remap motor order and adjust FC orientation in Betaflight.
- When designing this quad FlyWoo RB1202.5 11500KV motors was the closest to FPV cycle motors I could buy. I'm using a 1,5mm version. mainly because there are more propellers on the market.
- Motor wires are routed on the "back" of the arms, looking from the propeller spinning direction.
- I'm using XT30 for better conductivity. You need to change the plug on the battery fomr PH2.0 to XT30. I didn't found any 1S 450mAh or 650mAh battery with XT30.
- For the canopy I'm using FEICHAO Camera Canopy for Mobula 6 HD canopy. I have designed adapter for Caddx Ant Lite camera.
I have been using CrazyBeeX v2.2 FC. The VTX and one of the ESCs have died. Now I have switched to the CrazyBee F4 Lite. Since this FC also had fried VTX, I have used HappyModel description to connect the external VTX to it. I had to add the inductor (10uH) between the +5V line on the FC and the TBS Unify 32PRO nano VTX. The cammera is powered from the VTX passthough pins. Video signal and Smart Audio are connected directly to the FC. Without the inductor I had terrible video noise and screen rolls. Now it's flyable with minimal noise.
This FC have problem powering the VTX when set to more than 100mW output power. It will brownout during the flight. When you will switch back to 25mW or 100mmW everything is back to normal.
Whole drone weight is 49g without the battery.

Did you have to flip FC upside down or kept it as it is? The reason why I am asking is that I've got the same Apro 125 frame, Flywoo motors, Ant Lite camera, etc. to create a babytooth my own but do not have the BeeBrain canopy that everybody uses, and I wonder how I can set it up to have USB port access...
Yes, I had to flip the FC. Unfortunately I have to take the canopy off to access to the USB. Now I'm using the FEICHAO canopy. I find it most durable of all tested. I have tried the mobula 6, modula 7, Eachine Cinefun, Eachine Canopy for UZ65 and the Happymodel Crux3 canopy. They are all very fragile. I have ended breaking them every 2 days. Happymodel Crux3 is second toughest I have used. You can cut off back side of it and then you will have access to the USB port.
