This 88mm X2 Elf was the platform where I found the swet spot for 2" props on 2s, this is about as small as you can build a rig that will swing 2" props but still carry a battery big enough for 3+ minute run times with motors that make good power.
This was also one of the more challenging builds I've done, I used MuteFPV's build guide on Youtube as a starting point and then improved on it over time. The biggest improvement was to put the VTX on the bottom of the top plate so that it's fully protected.
As I dialed the build in it evolved into a light weight (56.3 gram) high performance setup that sacrifices a bit of durability. It still takes a crash really well, but if you're looking for a basher rig this is not setup for that right now.
As you can see this comes with a ton of different props so that you can see which ones you like best but my favorites are the Gemfan 2035's that are currently installed. It also comes with six 2s 600mAh BetaFPV branded GnB batteries that have only been cycled around 20 times and absolutely rip.
The F4 flight controller is fully soft mounted and the tune is locked in really nice as you can see below.

Do you think 6a ESCs could handle this motor/prop/battery combo?

Yup, I have another rig with exactly that combo

Awesome build! I went the 3S/1105 motors way with my Elf build and also found the overall construction durability being an issue, so I ended up moving the 3S guts to a 2.5" frame. I think 2S is a sweet spot for 2" props.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
