Thanks to LAZD for the frame and build help, schpanky for a great deal on some lightly used guts, and Diego for antenna and GPS info. Thanks to FPVC in general for helping me pick the rest of my parts, answering dozens of my questions, and showing me the benefits of sourcing domestically. All parts came from RDQ, RTFQ, and FPVC members. Parts in this build are free range, organic, fair trade, non gmo and gluten free!

Gps on a featherlight build? I'm impressed but do you fly this quad with inav?

I had bought the ori25 and matching Airbot F3 from someone on FPVC. I didn't realize that GPS was dropped from Omnibus F3 firmware, so I had to pick up an F4. I will be flying long(er) range eventually. I figured for $13, I'd go ahead and familiarize myself with GPS. I still need to work out some of the OSD as lots of things are configured wrong or not even connected in the maiden video. It's nice to see distance against RSSI. I'm not sure how accurate speed is, but even a rough estimate will help when planning longer distance sorties. So mainly I'm hoping to use the GPS information for flight planning and crash recovery, not autopilot.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
