I am building almost the same exact model from the same parts. I chose the Mach 2 VTX instead of the Unify. How did you fit the battery stap between the FC and the top plate? Also did you wire the ESC so the current sensing is working or not? I put the ESC the other way in the frame (+ and - pads on the rear).

Hi, super late reply - sorry dude. My Batt strap goes nearer the back of the copter instead of trying to fit it above the FC, where there's a bit more room. with the ESC I did wire up the current sensor, and then told the CLRacing F4s to accept an external sensor, using the bridges on the bottom of the board.

Did you paint a normal Runcam case silver and put the Rotor Riot edition in it?

the hypetrains matche the titanium so well, love it.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. I had a spare 3-hole case lying about because I always use swift 2.

Congrats on the yard bird! looks bitchen. Was waiting on this one and just gave up and built another frame. Like your choice of parts too. The Clracing has become my fc of choice, too friggin easy!

And she's done. Now if only it would stop f'n raining!

I'm about 2/3 done with the build now (see pics).

This is definitely not a "my first build frame". The design I'm pretty sure would withstand a nuclear blast but that comes with some complexity, some tight part tolerances and some "interesting hardware choices" (i'm looking at you sunk nuts that need hammering in). It also isn't as easy as building in a bus body. However, with lots of pre-fitting and un-soldered assembly I'm satisfied I can fit all the things in the frame and keep things looking nice and clean. Definitely take your time over this one, and plan carefully.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
