So who flies it? Why not opt for a Pixhawk system for autonomous missions?

RotorQuad Squad   Jul 27, 2016

Not what the guy wanted. It was a couple of farmers who needed to check their crops amidst all the flooding we had last year without destroying the field. They wanted simple and easy and blah blah blah. Basically had no use for the Pixhawk. Good guys but not super technologically sound. Ended up almost hitting me with it and from what I last heard it sits on the shelf. Sad really.

What a shame. It was certainly quite an investment.

Wow, that's a pricey build. What sort of flight times does it get?

I need to go in and continue putting everything that came with it. It was getting right around 18 minutes critical but that was on a small 5000mah 4s. I recommended 6s to the guy when we were putting everything together but he didnt want to pay for the batteries

Yeah, batteries like that can get quite pricey. Nice to see a utility build for a change.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
