I'm going to be honest and admit that the only purpose of this machine is to see how much flight time is possible from a quad that is capable of reaching at least 135km/h...maybe some other things too :) This frame is unique due to it's ability to carry the longer high capacity batteries on top and still remain very light (152 grams with steel hardware. 142 with aluminum?) Making this possibly the lightest fpv oriented frame that can fit 8in props.
The first build was supposed to be finished a few months ago, but life got in the way and I've been really slow to actually get this thing into the air.
I wanted to use the j2514 motors from Garilla, but those are really pricey. This means I'm forced to use some ancient sunnysky motors from when I first got into the hobby in 2014.
Now I'm just waiting on some 6s batteries and replacement esc's for the first real flight. ( 4 in1 fried during the "test hop")
The design is available on Armattan productions for anyone brave enough to try it.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
