I mainly fly micros, from 3" to something as small as 1S brushless micro, wanted to make some nice HD video when I fly outdoors but action cams are too heavy for micros.

What I was looking for is something small-ish, top mounted battery, equipped with Runcam Split/2 and no props in HD footage, nothing out there really suited my needs, I decided to make my own. From paper draft to 3D CAD model, ended up not so micro, 155mm motor to motor diagonally for a true X 3" setup.

~Got the frame made and I built the rest, waiting for maiden, unfortunately didn't see any daylight in my free time for the last few weeks (maybe months), it might need to wait a while... :(~

Nope, not exactly performance-oriented design.
Yes, camera is at somewhat unusual position and less protected and yes, I broke the lens, gotta update camera mount design...

looks cool! A 4in version would be fucking awesome!

That would need to enlarge the middle section of the frame quite a bit to keep props out of HD footage, or turn it into Wide X to keep the current body size.

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
