So this was my first attempt at building a brushless quadcopter. I first tried to build it last year after building several brushed FPV quad, and fixing my RTF 180 Shuriken a couple times. Man was this a tough build with 4 separate esc and basically no space inside of the nylon Caged frame, not to mention the upside down motor configuration. I only got it to hover before something went wrong and gave up on it and put into a box.

So literally today 11/11 I found the box with the DJ105 assembled in it and decided man this thing would be an awesome parking garage basher. I took it apart only keeping the Unify 5v that was already installed and started from basically scratch using basically all parts from wrecked quads.

A broken Tomo XBL provided the Micro Swift and 1105b 6500kb, and I always order to many FC stacks because I order spares. The FC+ESC stack is what I have and I am not using the VTX. I modifeied some Floss camera mounts to fit the Micro Swift instead of the CMOS micro cam this was originally intended to run.

its safe to say using the HLGRC XJB stack made this build a ton easier. Its still by far the weirdest quad I have built. The hard part is measuring all the motor wires out then soldering them disconnected. installing the top plate then mounting the motors. Make no mistake this thing will be pain to work on if something goes wrong as every time you will have to unscrew the motor screws then unscrew 22 frame screws that hold the top plate on.

The Frame is printed out of Nylon and combined with a fairly low weight 157gram AUW on a 650mah 3s(about 130 on 2s). It should prove to be basically indestructible . Not to mention everything including the camera is super well protected. Its flies really well, not fast, but on 3s capable of any acro you can throw at it and on 2s a nice level cruiser albeit fairly slow. It is really nice have the CCD and nice TBS VTX for a crystal clear picture even on the Dipole.

I have only flown a couple batteries today in the snow but I ll post DVR tomorrow. Its a pretty cool
quad that I think should be looked at as a Giant Whoop.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
