A little used and dirty but better late than never. I've yet to have an major issue with this quad, I also haven't found a good antenna mounting location. I've seen a few mods to push it out the back instead of having the LED bar, but at the same time 'soft mounting' it with just zip ties I've found to help reduce VTX breaking issues.

Unfortunately it seems BG has stopped selling the race version of this frame. I hope they bring it back, it's a great low profile. My FC soft mounts are a bit tall but it still all manages to fit even with the Rx and VTX on top.

Is the 325g with everything on it?

Yep, Actually down to 319g with a different antenna.

Interesting antenna mount you've got there :) I think the Lite version is the way to go over the long run. I broke my "Race" version fairly quickly, so I switched to the Lite for the replaceable arms. The weight difference is fairly insignificant.

I'd probably swap out the antenna for a U.fl dipole and rotate the VTX 180 degrees to free up the top plate for an HD cam, but if you don't need HD that should hold up.

It's withstood a good number of hits so far without issue. But I do want to at least be able to GoPro mount. I pre-ordered that new stubby and also bought a vtx03 so I'll have a few options. Or I can not be lazy and just print a new back plate like everyone else.

The linear antennas work surprisingly well. I've been running the VTX03 on a handful of rigs and I get great reception within 200m.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
