This is my first micro brushless build. Im still waiting on the VTX but I hope it will arrive soon. The build itself was quiet interesting because all the parts are way smaller than the parts for a 210 quad. I had problems with the stock wires of the 1103 motors (they are really bad tbh) So I changed them. The Kingkong Piko Stack is quiet nice and has a easy connection bridge. No wires required. Now its the time to tune this beauty and wait until the rain stops...

Here is the maiden flight. Pretty impressive if you ask me:

Hi nice build. will runcam swift micro fit on this frame? is there any cam side plate in the frame. How do we fit in a cam?

I wouldn't hold out for that vtx. Go for the Eachine VTX03.

I agree yours is a much more sensible setup, but if you want all bells and whistles, the FCs with betaflight OSD do only have one single UART, The OSD is not graphical, and you cannot change VTX settiings from the OSD. On top of it I wanted dRonin as the new filtering makes the second loop (i.e all related to horizon and leveling) much better, so PikoBLX + Innova was the way to go. I must say the innova on 25mw produces less video noise than my TBS unify V2, and range is more than enough for a micro quad!

All in all, given current price (<$15) and availability of good firmware (MWOSD VTX), we should consider this one again.

Note: if one fry the video component, the daughter board can be sourced for $5 (https://www.banggood.com/FPV-5_8G-200mW-32CH-Wireless-Audio-Video-AV-Transmitter-Module-FX758-2-p-980317.html)

Hello, can you Tell me your configuration (pid, filter, better cli diff and betaflight Version) i need this for orientation for my Racer. Thank you

Hey! Excellent build...for that price, I guess that this could be a candidate for my first three inch quad.

Quick question-do you need a PDB for this thing? Your parts list doesn't include one.

BeatMeFPV   Aug 18, 2017

Hey sorry I answer so late. No you dont need a PDB. The ESCs are AIO so you get the power for the FC directly from the ESCs

Well done! You should try cutting those props down to twin blade and see if you like it better. With 10,000kv motors i prefer the feel of twin blade and think it lets the motors shine a bit more.

Whiffles   Aug 05, 2017

Interesting. How do you cut them down though?

Complacent1   Aug 05, 2017

Cut them as close as possible with small snips then use a sanding dremel or file to finish it.

BeatMeFPV   Aug 06, 2017

I have to because I break so much props I have to cut them to twin blades :D I will report if I feel any difference

That's a pretty nice little setup there. How do you like it?

BeatMeFPV   Aug 05, 2017

I really like this build. I may have to copy it. Good price point too.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
