I do a lot of 5" builds, so I wanted to switch it up a little bit and do a 3" build this time. I really like the Armattan SCX 140 race frame, so I decided to do the build around that.

Mounting the Matek HuboSD8-SE PDB sideways allowed me to fit all the electronics nicely in the frame. I went with a Lumenier LUX V2 Flight Controller, RunCam Swift 2 FPV Camera, a Foxeer 5.8G Circular Polarized Omni TX RX Mini Antenna (Black), and a Foxeer 5.8G 40CH TM25 Switcher 25/200/600mW VTx Pigtail transmitter.

The EMAX RS1306 RaceSpec Cooling Series motors were perfect for this 3" build, and the EMAX Bullet 20A ESCs fit perfectly on the arms.

I am waiting for some 4-blade HQProp propellers to come in, but for now I have mounted the HQProp Durable 3X3X3 Clear (2CW+2CCW) Poly Carbonate propellers.

Please like this build, and please add some comments or questions!

Thank you.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
