Tight build. Vtx-03 started life as a Dtx-03 but I had to cut the dvr part off, too tight.
Second build ever.

you built this from scratch meaning not an assembled mini cube and you got it all to line up as it was meant to be and as your second build none the less. nice and clean, great job!!

Thank you! What you can't see is how the boards and wire are stuffed in like a sausage in the chassis, but it works!

So the long version of the tattus do work on this frame cause airblade uav reccomended choosing a different battery but ive seen a few people choose these on here?

They definitely work, if you can find a flatter battery it would probably be better for landings but these long ones work fine.

How are those motors? Pretty punchy?

kanahmal   Sep 27, 2017

I don't have any others in the size to compare them to, but with my goggles on it's hard to tell the difference between them and my larger 5" motors on punch outs. Minute changes in weight makes much more of a difference however.

Nice, thanks for the feedback. Hopefully put one of these together soon, I love my Atom V3.

Can you shorten the battery wires to save weight? What are your flight times and have you posted a youtube video yet? Can you fly a 3s battery?

kanahmal   Jul 18, 2017

I could probably shorten the wires but I'll wait till I have some wires in a slightly smaller guage. As for the rest I'm waiting for my weekend to get it tuned and flying right.

Not sure about 3s, 10000kv is pretty high for that, but ill definitely pick up a pack to try it out.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
