I basically picked a frame then went with the lighest component for each selection. the exception being the esc/FC. didn't feel like cramming some 16mm or 20mm FC on there, and the lux v2 is a pretty lightweight easy to solder full size FC.

I've got two sets of matching components to build matching racers. The only difference in the two is one has the worx bolt 2350KV motors (24gm/motor) while the other has emax rs2306 2750kv motor (36gm/motor). so one will weighalmost 40gm less. the heavy one is 280gm before battery, and just over 400gm with battery. The worx/bolt should be sub 400gm AUW. I'll get that build on here when it is done. Shall be named RIP 2.

I also got these motors used, so I will probably test them out but ultimately I'll probably end up with a lighter set of motors. although this will give me a good excuse to test some lighter dual blade AVAN-S props. I am still pretty sure I like cornering better with triblade but a few drag races could be fun!!

Also I have some 5050C triblades but there is no way in hell I'm using 5" pitch with these motors. 57amp per motor peak current draw. Will stick with dal 5045 race and dal 5x4x3 more than likely. silly high pitched props are for the birds, and hype-trains, and blowing up expensive batteries. not something I plan on doing any time soon.

You can buy a custom pod (designed by me) for this racer here

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
