One of the challenging frames to build. First time for me building with 4in1 ESC, less cables and much clean. Also first time with a Revo FC the plan is to replace it to an Omnibus V2 Pro with built-in BF OSD. The BrotherHobby R4 motors feels like having so much power and their color is just appetizing... The canopy was ordered from https://www.phx-3d.com/ to match the motors color. Overall it was a fantastic build experience, another quad to my large collection.

You gotta try the 1.8mm lens, the Räsvelg canopy was designed for it and it's the ram jam!

Quadxl   Apr 10, 2017

How is that related to this specific frame?

When we designed the Rasvelg canopy, we added another camera mounting nub further up in the canopy specifically for the 1.8mm lens so people could have a nice wide angle lens. We decided not to design a version to fit larger lenses like the one you are using because it had caused issues with dealers having so many variations of the Garuda canopy.

For the love of Betty Crocker's holy panty drawer, fix those Rx antennas! Just pull the exposed bits down inside the heat shrink around the zip tie so the wear and tear doesn't get to them, and they're kept straight. That portion of the antenna can be inside the heat shrink and along the plastic; those materials won't act as a shield and interfere with reception.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
