AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

Those frames are great, I have a 5". I see you burned up a motor, that's a bummer, I bet the 3008 swings a 8" tri blade like it's not even there
How do you like flying this build? Is she wicked fast?
I don't think I'm a massive fan of this frame; it's a "clone" However, I mean, it's a B-class copy of the original frame with some changes that made it 8-inch frame.
The same ESC that destroyed two EMAX motors on my other build did this. I replaced it with Flycolor Trinx G5 and have had no problems since then. I'm only cruising with it. The average speed is 70-90 km/h seems ok; will see how it flies with 6s2p liion and the payload.
It is a pretty lightweight frame, so I wonder if it's to twisty to hang those meaty motors?
You are right, it's twisty, and it wobbles a little, but as you said, it's lightweight, which is excellent. However, I haven't tested it with a full load yet. I bet it'll be hard to tune
I love the Mark 4 in 5" form. Probably my favorite frame to fly thus far. I had to buy up all they had left a few months back so I won't ever run out. The TBS Source One V5 is pretty decent too. I feel the frames should be closer to under 50 than they seeminly are.
Not sure I'd like this though. Those arms look way too thin. Now if you want 7" recs, I have those...
