Street League Sky Butter

This is my Street League Source One build. This is the V3 Source One since the V4's arms are too skinny to be spec.

The pod is 3D printed and has gopro style mounting on the top for an HD camera if desired, SMA antenna mount in the back, and nano camera mounting in the front. Four stainless steel inserts slide into the pod which allow it to be fascened to the frame via m3 screws (grab some spare motor screws and the inserts listed in misc). This means it's 4 screws to remove the pod, just like a normal top plate.

The battery protector on the bottom will fit any GNB 2200 5S battery (RDQ, Piro, or GNB branded). It should also fit tattue or dogcom batteries, but there will be a bit of play. The battery protector is the easiest way to get the frame up to spec weight, but will require high infil to do so.

The LEDs are COB leds attached to Street League store's racewire. This means that there's solder pads for the LEDs which keeps things clean. It's especially nice because no extra wiring is needed to power the LEDs. They light up when the motors spin. This has been, by FAR, the most reliable LED setup I've used for racing.

This build also features a GPS module because, in spec racing, knowing your hitting top speed is a big bonus.

The stack in this build is all HobbyWing. I would recommend ensuring the ESC firmware is up-to-date since the latest version gets you a little extra RPM with the Street League spec firmware. It's also worth noting that these 60A hobbywing ESCs are incredibly tough! Expect their lifespan to be on the order of years, not months like the other brands I've tried.

I have a lot of those parts already, how do I find out where the closest street league race is being held?

Check out for all the info on the league. I've since moved on to the Heavy Metal frame by TurtleModeFPV. But this one was great while it lasted

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
