3" Toothpick with HDZero Whoop Lite VTX
46.5 grams w.o battery
3016 Tri-blade or 3018 Bi-blade

Change one - Added Mobula6 canopy. Had to drill out to mount, but holds camera much better. No jello on punch outs.
Change two - I've updated this build to use the same Flywoo Goku flight controller as my 2s build. https://rotorbuilds.com/build/30149

what kind of range do you get with the enamle wire antenna?

calleyc   Oct 19, 2022

Hey Sonol FPV, did you get RPM filtering working on your BetaFPV F4 1S 12A AIO ELRS V2.0? I was reading on the site that it only supports BLHeliS. If so, which ESC firmware were you successful with?

Sunol FPV   Oct 19, 2022

Yes, you can replace BLHeliS with Bluejay for RPM filtering. https://esc-configurator.com/

That is for version 2.0 of the board. Note that there is a software issue for v2.2. I think you need to use the preview.esc-configurator.com with that board (at least at the moment) Bardwell did a little news article about it.

calleyc   Oct 19, 2022

Thank you Sunol, I actually just discovered I have the version 2.1 of the board. It currently has Z_H_30 - Rev 16.7 on it. Looking now to see what I need to do for that one.

Nikolaskk   Oct 14, 2022

Nice build. I'm thinking of doing the same. How much did adding HDZero affect the flight characteristics?

Sunol FPV   Oct 14, 2022

Honestly been awhile now since I flew an analog toothpick, so I might not have the best A/B comparison. However the main thing I remember is the flight time being a little shorter. I don't think the added weight is a big deal other than that. I feel like whoops are a lot more sensitive to weight than toothpicks.
The 2s version I built on the same frame has a little more of a 5-inch feel to it because of even more weight and power. Easier to flick around.
Anyway, no plans to go back to analog.

Can you elaborate on the religion of the watermelon cacti? I hear they get the tax benefits of a normal religion, but also get subsidies from their place of origin.. Atlantis.

BaTTaN   Jul 25, 2022

Waiting for the HDZero lite bundle myself for a Babytooth build using a new set of the same motors. I also have a set of the older blue 13mm FPVCycle motors on an analog setup. NIce AUW for a double board setup is that with a 1.5mm thick frame?

Sunol FPV   Jul 25, 2022

Yep, 1.5mm and I was in a similar situation. Had an older 1s build with a fried FC. Re-used the motors and frame with a new FC and the HDZero Whoop Lite. Wish Bob could keep the toothpick frames in stock. :)

BaTTaN   Jul 25, 2022

Yeah I may use Dave_C's 3 inch toothpick frame "The Sanchez" and go with thee point AIO mounting to save a little weight with my 1s HDZero build. I've been using it for a 3s build with dvr/vtx board and seems to do fine with three instead of all four mount points. Loving the HDZero system though. Just an fyi, I hear the 1s Lite cameras can come from the factory not focused as good as they can be.

GEPRC Crocodile 7" HD is a semi-slammed action cam that has a wide range of functions. It is waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof. It also has a built-in Wi-Fi and GPS so that the user can have an easy time uploading videos to social media platforms.

This action cam comes in two colors - black and white. The black color version comes with a battery pack while the white color version comes with a battery pack and an external power bank.

Madcatmike3d   Jul 22, 2022

Nice build!! Did you attempt to focus the camera at all? That camera might focus a little more clearly, if you haven't tried it. I just bought a few of these Whoop Lite setups. Super cool man!! I love it!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
