After building and flying mircoDot, nightLife felt like a fat slob even after it's diet. So i decided to make some changes. Different frame and antenna, less leds :) I put the rx under the FC.
I managed to damaged a motor during the process... so this guy is running 3 1103 11000kv motors and one 1103 8000kv motor (the red wired one) since that's all i had on hand to replace it.
I cut up the frame and removed the entire center section. I have an armattan cf whoop brace in there to keep things rigid.

After all is said and done I shaved off 8gms. I think i can reduce another gram with some slightly shorter bolts.

I used a piece of foam to hold the battery snug.

Chop the buzzer off and setup the Dshot beacon. Also button head screws are lighter.

I disable dshot beacon on purpose :) I would not be able to hear motor chirping in a crash where i fly, so beeper is a must. I also like dive-bombing while beeping, not something you can do with dshot beacon ;)
where do you get your button head bolts from?

Simplify, then add lightness!

Do you get the reference?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
