This is a build that I have done for a client that's just getting started with FPV. Since his budget for a quad + radio + goggles + li-po and a charger was 450$ that's what I came up with.

For the goggles I chose the EV800D. Seemed like an obvious choice to me for a first pair of FPV goggles that you just can't go wrong with.
As for the radio I chose the fs-i6x. I suggested that spending a little bit more for an x9 lite was a good way to future proof his gear but he decided to go with the cheaper option.
I thought that IFlight Cidora SL5 was a good choice for a beginner. Having a top mounted battery is good for crash landing and being a popular design helps with finding spare parts and 3Dprints. Also it's well built.
For the motors I went with the classic EMAX ECO 2306 2400KV.
For the ESC and FC I chose to go with a stack because having single ESC's on the arms makes them vulnerable to hits. Mamba F405 mk2 is the cheapest worth having FC in my opinion. I decided to go with a 50A ESC in case he ever wants to swap his motors and go with the 6S li-po. It also won't get worn out as fast.
There isn't a really huge price difference if it comes to cameras so I went with a caddx ratel.
The Rush Tank VTX is the part that I could save a lot of money on but chose not to knowing how important it is for a good flying experience.

I know that I could have chosen way cheaper parts but I like to remind myself of the saying buy cheap, buy twice.
In the end i just want to say that doing lots of research and building a drone on your own is the best way to get into this hobby. This way you wil save yourself extra expenses and headaches in the future. But that's my opinion.
Thanks for taking your time to read this and happy flying .

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
