Flight video after a slight tune on Betaflight 4.2:

Finally took the much needed time on my basher. It has been abused and rebuilt, but only to get back in the air. I thought this time around, I'd give her that bit of extra effort she deserves.

I wanted something a bit different than my Marmotte setup, which was roughly 835g AUW. That thing is a chunkster. This Glide build, I wanted to stay below 750g. This bit of weight reduction should give a more agile and snappier feeling. I initialy built this around a GoPro Hero 7 Black, but I also run a Hero Session 5 when I don't want to carry the extra weight for Freestyle.

The hardest part about this build was finding a way to mount a full sized Dji air unit. One option was to mount the AU on the back, but there no good mounting options as it would require double sided tape to hold doen the AU. I wasnt a fan, so after a couple of weeks of searching I came across a fellow hobbyist who came up with a center mount for the air unit that uses 30x30 mounting pattern, however, you will need 30mm standoffs to get the proper clearance since the 30x30 ESC is going underneath the AU.

I currently have my build on Betaflight 4.2 with RPM Filtering and stock PIDs, for now.

Thoughts on Flow motors? What was your final AUW with the Session?

they have some serious thrust when paired with ethix s5 or Gemfan Hurricane 51433!! the hurricane's give a bit more control and speed. Ive also tried ethix s3, but they just don't have that bite on corners or thrust when punching out. My Glide is at 710g AUW with Tattu R-Line 1300mah

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
