I built this Transtec Laser light when creating a 2-part YouTube series (quad assembly and BF setup) during the COVID quarantine back in Mar/Apr as something to do for fun and to share a little knowledge from what I learned over the last 2 years of building FPV quads. I think both the build and the videos turned out pretty good. The build was my 6th quad and the YouTube was my amateur debut. I'll post the link down below if anyone in interested.
I chose the frame because I loved the look with the wider back arms, thick sturdy arms (more on this later) and the overall design, especially with the TPU camera mount. For the VTX mount, I purchased the Phreak VTX TPU mount from GetFPV which fit nicely on the back. I had an extra DALRC F405 board (although only 4S capable they are still one of the best out there) and paired it with the dependable DALRC Engine Pro 40A. My first time using the Foxeer Falkor 2 camera and for an analog camera it comes very close to an HD picture in my opinion. I also used the Rush Tank vtx which I think is one of the best values out there and I actually prefer over the TBS Unify now. Total weight without battery is 305g. BTW....This quad is fast, smooth and so manueverable after tuning on BF 4.1 with RPM filtering that it is so fun to fly.
On a side note, my first maiden flight I used the cheap Transtec battery strap that came with it. It had a plastic buckle. I was doing loops and flips and during one such manuever as you see in opening YouTube video for the BF setup the video went blank and the Transtec took a 75ft nose dive. After searching for 10 min, I found the quad with a broken arm and missing battery. I discovered that the plastic battery buckle broke which caused the battery to eject....lesson learned. The good news is that replacement arms are readily available online for this Transtec which often is not the case with many quads.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
