My xjt-lite module decided to also die. It's being replaced for free (only had it two weeks), so for now, i have no way to connect to D8 and finish it. Once I get the module I can finish this up and get my friend in the air :)

I am going to create a new build, since im replacing quite a few parts...

I have bad luck with whoop boards :(
the ground pulled out and then made contact with the board.. the right side motors no longer work and are not recognized by blHeli. I believe I somehow fried both escs....

Looks like i need a new board :( :(

I built this for my best friend. It's fairly heavy, but I wanted to make it more crash resistant and let him use the knife to reduce weight when he is ready. Im getting about 1.45 min on a mildly used rdq 450 1s.
I bent open and did a little cutting to the battery area so i could fit the larger 450 battery in there.

The camera is angled for easy hovering, but i wanted adjustability so he can tilt it back when he starts ripping.

The motors were really cheap and sufficent for a first vehicle :)

I lent him my Emax RTF Tinyhawk II radio so I needed to make this build use D8. I did not solder the motors directly and I left a lot of extra wiring, so my friend can optimize as he sees fit.

The scale I used is fairly accurate to the gram. Lots of weight to shed when the time is right.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
