I could never get it tuned well. I suspect the never versions of BF do not like V-Tails.

TinyV - Prototype

I always loved V-Tails!
Finding a modern toothpick V-tail frame is not easy..

So this is my first custom tootpick frame!! :grinning:

Design details:
-COG at propeller plane.
-Compact vertical weight destribution
-Prop free FPV view
-Flight time (2S 450); XXX min (will be updated after maiden on saturday)
-Frame weight: Roughly 16g
-Dry weight: 65g
-AUW (2S 450): 93g

Some small improvements to the frame will be made before I release the design. It should also loose some 10g, which I do not think is possible with a 16x16 stack - I will considder AIO boards instead.
The final version may end up being a 3" version. I think some 1204 motors and 3" props will land at a better weight for the props than this 2.5" version.

it's oddly attractive ;)
are the flight characteristics notably different with such 'tail'?
will you update the frame for it not to land on the props?
very nice build and again... interesting concept!

I still didn't fly this one because i used to long bolts for the motors.. Waiting for New motors xD
But My 3" flies significantly different. It is clearly more snappy and locked in yaw.

The propellers does not hit the ground, but it requires a Hard surface to take of.. This is the 1. Prototype so there will be an update.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
