A quad I built for indoor flying. Designing cam holder/canopy was the most challenging and satisfying part. As usual I made it from high impact polystyrene bent using hot air. Camera is fixed in place by putting its lens between two pieces of adhesive foam glued to the inside walls of the canopy. 29 grams dry + lipo. I fly it on 1S HV 450mah Gaoneng batteries. Had to increase minimum power to make motors spin on arming. Maximum cell voltage also needed to be increased to 4.5 in BF. Otherwise BF considers HV lipo to be a 2 cell battery with extremely low voltage and gives voltage alerts even though battery is fully charged to 4.35V. Warning and minimum cell voltages needed to be lowered in BF too not to have low voltage alerts flashing right after take off. I didn't know what to do until I saw Nick Burns' video. Thank you Nick!:)

Love your canopy design! Looks like something from 80s Lasertag. :)

Didn't think of that:) But now that you've brought it up, I also feel a bit of 80's vibe in this low-poly design:)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
