For a 10" quad yours flies pretty good. (Which ia rare)
That being said, larger builds are likely to fall out of favor before too long.

  • Cost...Small is cheaper to build and repair, in many cases by as much as a 3rd.
  • Crash survivability... Thanks to physics, smaller craft fair much better.
  • Regulation... Especially in the U.S. where the sh!t is about to hit the fan.
  • Location... Larger quads need a much larger area to fly in just like larger animals need a larger area to live in.
  • Tuning... LIKely to be difficult even on a standardized build, as part differances will result in some units being unmanagable. (motor/ prop balencing, filtering and ESC related issues)

Only real advantages i see here are braging rights and flight time. However both of those are moot when considering that a 5" is likely to have less down time do to tuning issues and or repairs. Simply put cost (money and time) vs overall enjoyment (how much of your free time is it actually in the air).

Do you think, Caddyx Vista would fit in there?

BluescreenISU   Feb 11, 2020

Caddx Vista will not fit, stack would be to high inside frame.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
