I've switched over to crossfire. Added LEDs to the arms.Re-ran all the wiring for a cleaner build.

This year I wanted to make a final, MASSIVE impression at my usual spots. Then I found the Project399 Practice Rig. I was hooked at first sight, and I knew that no corner would be cut to build this. so I present to you, the largest quad I've ever built, the aptly named... THE CONDOR

I settled on parts recommended on the Project399 product listing, Hobbywing 60a 4-in-1 ESC, ~1300kv motors, 7" props... the works. I went with a BrainFPV Radix for the improved gyro and OSD, and BrotherHobby Avenger 2510 1380kv motors. Since I primarily use the FrSky R9 system, I went with a R9 Slim+ for the benefit of diversity antennas... unfortunately the OTA version was the only thing available (works perfectly after I flashed it with ACCST firmware). I decided to add a GPS to monitor speed, and eventually for RTH features.

Build went well, only two problems... The first GPS had to be configured using the ublox wizzard (before using this the GPS said I was in the middle of the ocean!). The ESC also gave me errors that indicated it was DOA, turns out the XT60 lead was not properly soldered underneath the grey sheath.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
