This is a shout out to Dave_C_FPV for bring out another great frame. I had this made as soon as I saw it. I took another approach on motor selection thou. Takes little to no effort to get this thing to hover. I feel this build will be very lipo friendly. I do not have a scale @ the moment due to issues, but I can says its very lite. Cant wait to get her broke in proper!!

Cheers!!!

Hah! I knew it when I saw it (2204 Hyperlites on a Dave_C frame). I could tell because I too push that combination. I love how mine flies (light and fast), whadda you think 'bout this one?

Yep... that's what mine's like! Sometimes ya get a "perfect combination" and the results are so dramtaic (in comparison to your other rigs) that you can't help but wonder what the "big difference" really is. Now I fitted the ARS-5 frame with a really vertical canopy (QuadStarDrones ARX-R), and that lightweight, short stator build actually feels like its "true ARX-R" brethren (in other words... I can get it going pretty dang fast).
The world of building quads never gets old. :)

Really nice build! How is the TPU part for mounting the battery strap working out? I had the same idea but didn't have time to test it yet :-D

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
