Ultra light micro FPV quads has been around 3 years ago but electronics was very limited back then. Now, we have the new "toothpick" class which is basically the same concept as before but with better and lighter components and they are cheap too! It's definitely a good time to build an ultra light micro.

The frame I used here is probably the cheapest 2.5mm thick carbon one I found. The FC came from my mobula 7HD and all the rest are brand new.
I'm really impressed with these amaxinno 1103 motors, very smooth and punchy. They are almost the same flight characteristic as the betafpv 1103 but I like this one better.

Flight video:

Change the FC to 20A betafpv toothpick FC since my crazybee had died after a crash. I am using default pids, check the flight video here

I have already updated the FC sorry. I am now using the 20A betafpv. It flies really well on stock BF 4.1 no rpm filter enabled.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
