It was time to build another Hyperlow quad. I love their frames, very strong frames and amazing designs. I am not much of a freestyler just some relaxed cruising around in the desert. I did not build it from the top plate down as recommended. It seemed easier to build it the traditional way from the bottom plate up by securing the arms temporarily with M3 nuts. I also cut a mount out of a aluminum sheet to secure the XT60 mount to the frame. It's a great strain reliever and makes it easier to unplug the battery.

I think this might have been the first build I've seen in 3 months that looks just like just as much fun to build and admire as it does to fly

Looks great frame... I love it !!

not a fan this xing motor in the desert... sand gets stuck between magnets which way too close to the stator
What is your experience ?

Thanks! Yes you are right, one better not crash on the desert floor, can't even takeoff and land from it, if there is no road near where I'm flying, I have to takeoff and land on the hood of my car. Otherwise the sand and tiny rocks etc. will ruin any motor quickly. There is also conductive materials in the sand that will short stuff out on your FC, VTX and ESCs.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
