I really like your parts selection for the long range eclair. I may have to copy it. I have a eclair 3" I have been doing long range with but your set up makes more sense. the zeus is perfect for this application and opens up room for one more board. Having rth would have helped me a couple of weeks ago. Lost my Eclair about 1/4 mile out. luckily my girlfriend is relentless and found it. Is that gps mount up on thingiverse?
You could shave a couple of grams by ditching the heat shrink and are your fasteners steel or aluminum?

Yeah, the zeus board really makes everything much easier, but you have to rotate the board by 90 degrees to fit in the frame. I uploaded the backpack to thingverse just in case you need it.
For the fastener, I'm using nylon for stack, steel bolts for motor & prop mount, for included harware for the cage: 1x stand off + 2 screw ~ 1.4g, so something like 4-5g for the cage fasteners. I'm thinking to replace the cage with 3d printed canopy but not sure if it's worth.

Thanks for posting the print, got it printed and the quad rebuilt using a tbs nano32. Today took it out to 8/10's of a mile. Wanted to go further but my 4s 650's are toast. It was nice knowing the gps rescue was there to bail me out if the video failed.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
