The Original

This is effectively the first quad I ever built. Sort of.... I have put more flight controllers through this frame than I can count. It's had 2 arms replaced, but whilst some parts remain the same I still consider it my original and most loved machine :)

In this iteration of this Rooster based build, Scrappy has the Brain FPV freestyle combo (Radix flight controller and pb), and on his arms he's sporting Airbot Furling32 ESC's and the Limited edition Rebel 2550kv Matte Red motors. (Love these things)

The Rooster is quite a challenging frame to build in, as the slammed deck leaves room for only 2 boards on the stack, and the removable arms take up most of the other space. I usually use AIO boards so I can get the vtx on the stack as well but in this case I decided to design a custom 3d printed mount for the vtx that mounts to the rear stand offs. It's designed to perfectly fit a Unify Pro HV and specifically be paired with the antenna mount 3d print, which is another custom design for the Lumenier Axii and an immortal T style antenna. There's a final custom 3d printed piece underneath the vtx which the r9mm slots into making all the tx/rx goodness in the rear of the frame and is well protected.

One bonus of the Furlings and the Brain FPV power board is the built in LED's, so you get 8 LED's for free! I also have 8 additional LED's under the arm's just for the hell of it so this lil guy is as LIT as a Christmas tree :D

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
