Recycled an old betafpv whoop canopy with a z01 cam/vtx. Had to flip the board to gain access to the usb. Had the wrong esc protocol for the maiden...fixed that and will be flying it very soon.

It flys! and it flys pretty damn well!!! I am super happy with this build. Even on 1s was pretty fun.

did the top c-clip on top of the bell get in the way of the prop?

flickischris   May 03, 2019

doesnt seem too. i didnt even notice it. i switched to 65mm gemfans...will probably be switching back to the flash or a hulkie 3 blade, just suits my skill level more. the 65mm bi blades make this little thing a handful.

Nice buid. It looks like all the motor wires are red, are they all the CW version? I don't really see why Happymodel has directional brushless motors while most aren't. I wonder if they are actually directional in some way?

flickischris   Apr 20, 2019

they are all CW. I just got all the same so the wires matched...should have went with black though I matches the motor bells though.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
