Of course, a huge thanks to KababFPV!

Honestly, I have never really liked flying the whoop. Therefore, it was an easy decision. Eachine US65 had to be sacrificed. I have reused motor connectors, canopy, camera and vtx from the US65 in this build.

The adapter to mount the flight controller on the 16mm frame is printed in TPU and weighs a bit less than 3g.

This is probably not a final version. Not sure how sturdy is the canopy sitting on top of the TPU adapter. Also, the camera and vtx are not the best. Lots of room for improvements. Stay tuned for updates...

The weight without a battery is 39g

I have flown this thing and have to admit it is simply shocking how fast and nimble this quad flies. Now I understand why KabavFpv has been raving about it! It is just unbelieveable. I am in the process of tuning it down because it is a bit on the wild side for the moment. Also, the whoop camera sucks!

I recieved my frame today :D
I ran out of TPU though... might have to print the adapter in petg and see how that holds up

Lil Duece? It's nice. Hopefully the adapter in PETG works. I don't think it is subjected to much force. The only areas of concern would be top of the standoffs that you put the rubber mounts on that also hold the canopy screws. They may crack if they are made of a rigid material. Hopefully not. Good luck!

so dope! i just ordered a toothpick yesterday for a 1s setup. Really excited  ! Can't wait for it to arrive

Yeap, I am waiting for mine! I think he said he will ship before the end end of the month.

do you know where i can get a drill bit for those props to fit a 1.5mm shaft?

Rice_Bowl   Jan 17, 2019

dude that looks sick!!! wish i could buy a frame but shipping to my place might be risky for me huhuhu. Looks great tho!

What is the motor to motor on the Lil' Duece.

sergetania   Jan 16, 2019

About 78mm and 110mm (true-x). Btw, it was just brought to my attention that FlexRC has a frame that doesn't require an adapter. Look for Mira (conversion and universal). I wish I knew earlier.

do you have any dvr? i'am not sure if i should get 1102/1103 motors or 0802 motors.

sergetania   Jan 16, 2019

I will see if I can upload something but the camera is not great and dvr makes it worse.
Based on what I have learned from this build I would suggest getting 1102 motors. In my opinion, 1103 may be too much. It flies great with the 1102s except when the throttle is above 70-80%. It feels like too much speed for such a tiny drone.

how did you get the green 3d printed motor mounts?

sergetania   Jan 16, 2019

Came with the frame

i know bangood products are pretty skechy but like goddamn 70 bucks for a brushless whoop is awesome! does it come with any batteries?

Oh, no, not at all! The problem was with the original whoop. This one is an absolutely crazy flier! Fast and nimble! The 1102 motors can handle the weight beautifully.

ThumbzFPV   Jan 15, 2019

Oh okay I was thinking it should be able to but I thought you were talking about this one being underpowered. Agreed though, the UR/UK whoops were great for about two months, but shouldn't be bothered with anymore. I'm curious, why do you feel the need for the extra TPU on the arms?

sergetania   Jan 15, 2019

I have burned an original flight controller on the whoop within a week hence using a BetaFpv fc in this build. Which is a good thing because it is a F4 (vs F3) and the whoop flew much better with the new F4 fc.
The frame came with the TPU guards. I could not make my mind but finally decided to put them on. They weight about 1.5g and at the end I thought they may be helpful with extra added weigth of 1102s. The motors are the major contributor to the overall weight but they seem to be well-matched to the props.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
