I'll be basing my first build off of those videos as well.. what would you say caused you the biggest pain? Any tips, pointers on things you might not have thought about, or would've done differently if you did it again?

Getting the fpv set up was the toughest part, for some reason the channels were incorrect for one of the parts and for some reason
soldering the tiny wires was much more difficult for me than any of the other soldering. In my blog post I include more details: http://copterwars.com/blog/?p=4

Excellent! I watched that series a couple months ago and it was great. I even applied some of his techniques when building my F450. Your photos are very small. Do you have them in a higher resolution?

Do you plan to add an HD camera to record your flights?

I plan to buy a mobius camera in the future, but first I think I'll get some cloverleaf antennas.

Why Mobius? If you must have that form factor look at the Runcam, but I strongly recommend the Xiaomi Yi for the video quality and features. I had a Mobius and I wasn't very happy with it. I have a Xiaomi Yi now and I love it.
