Hello, question: why are there two ESC's in your build? Have never seen that before

nope! two of the escs are built together into one and there are two of those combinations. like two different plate stacked and each plate has two escs. so one battery all wired to the escs

so, why would it be done that way? what is the benefit or cool thing it does by having two? (i'm new to quad building so am curious...doing my 2nd one now, which happens to be the Pico Owl). I found this build and really liked the quality of the pictures for illustration...then noticed the 2 ESC's and was/am confused.

I believe it was sold as a package and thats what the customer wanted. Also I dont there there was a selection of 4n1 at this size at the time.

Excellent work! What a cool quad. That's a beefy base plate for such a little thing.

Right? I was thinking without the shroud it will handle way better but its not mine so.... its the owners choice!

I really like that you can just lift the shrouds off anytime though (at least it looks like that anyways).

You should pitch this build to the same buyer :) https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2760462

I'd love to see some SUPER slow motion video of the props on ... basically any quad ... I wonder how much the arms flex. With this design, I wonder if the designer went for thicker carbon to ensure rigidity so that the props wouldn't touch the shrouds during aggressive flights.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
