I have been looking for a easy to maintance tough frame to use for my goto rigs. I hope this frame is it , I have not been able to test it yet becasue of rain but as soon as I do I will update the build with some flight footage. At this point I have no idea how many 5" quads I have built and rebuilt be I can say this is one of the easiest frames to work on I have come across especially with the BRIAN3D kit. This frame looks like a lot of the "alien" style or QAV style frame but the devil is in the details. Little things like 8 standoffs instead of 6, extra 20x20 mounting holes in the back and the ability to support more then one size camera. Ohh and its also sitting on 23mm standoffs instead of 30mm. Pleanty of vertical room even on 23mm as you can see you could easily push it to 20mm but you would need to use a micro cam for sure.

What length battery straps are those? I always wind up ordering ones that are too long.

How do you like it? I've been flying mine these past few days and it's a solid frame.

Not sure yet we have had a lot of rain here. Hopefully this weekend. I'm coming from an xLabs Steez which has almost identical geometery and weight so I expect them to feel simialr. The CL1 is actually 10g lighter which was a surprise given the chunky arms of the Cl1. Have you crashed yours much?

A few times and it's holding up great!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
