I wanted to build a sub 200gr (without lipo) race quad.

this is my try. I lack a precision balance but it's somewhere between 170 and 190gr.

I used 14xx 5" Floss 2 arms.

I just maidened it, I need to find what is the best battery size.
here is the first DvR (it needs more tuning, and the lipo are new and still needs break-in) above the vineyard behind my house (sorry no track)

CUT THE SOUND OFF !

how are the motors overall with low & mids? Also, do they seem to pull alot of amps?

850mah 4S might be a good size/weight for that!! if you can find 1000 also. 1300 might be a bit heavy and make it feel slow.

Good luck! keep us posted!

850mah ARE great ! I'm currently testing those for 3 days. I had a crash today, the original screws for xnova are too shorts and one motor unscrewed (not sure of the word) during a flight. I'm gonna change them tomorrow for longer m2 screws. (it might add 1gr to the 309gr with 850).
1050 are ordered and should be delivered this week, so I might try it this week end. The DvR is on the computer, I just need to upload it !

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
