It was time to build a 3" and I wanted to put my Split Mini in it. I wanted range and fly time. Almost got a Switchback, but I'm trying to build every Falcon Multirotors frame. All I needed to adapt it was a couple longer screws for the camera and a couple bits of tubing. As of right now I've gone as far as 3km and as long as 9 minutes. I'm very happy with this frame, motors, props, pack, rx, fc, really the whole build. Everything came together to give me a perfect micro "long" ranger, backyard derper, and permanent home for my Split Mini :) AUW w/ 850 3s = 202g, w/ 1300 3s = 241g, Dry = 121g

What a nice build! Isn't that Slim+ with two antennas a pain in the butt? I just finished a very similar build.

Are you using Taranis X7 with R9M? I am stuck on 10mW power, the radio skips over the power level in the model setup. I can't change it. I am pretty sure I have the latest firmware. Thanks!

Woah. that's a weird bug! did you make sure to update the module firmware and opentx to the latest versions? Maybe hit up the R9 user group on fb. Haven't heard of this one before.
The two antennas weren't too bad. Just had to get a little creative. Worth it for strong signal at just about any orientation.

Upgrade to OpenTX 2.2RC4 solved the issue. Thanks!

Btw, I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of R9 mini and it has just one antenna! That's plenty given the 5.8 video range.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
