First attempt at a beginner freestyle drone.
360g dry +260g with my chunky-ass battery.
Bought the big battery to slow the thing down a little, plus 8:00 flight times are nice!
AUW puts thrust:weight at in the ballpark of 7.5:1 with these motors/props.

I'll get a lighter battery once I get more comfortable flying

Did you run into any issues mounting your ESC's out on the arms? I'm just starting to get parts through for a Frog build, and wasn't sure if I wanted to use a 4 in 1 ESC or seperate units?

No issues at all. Initially I considered going with a 4-in-1 ESC as well but decided against it. Tower height is limited due to the way the top of the frame angles downward toward the rear -- I would have had to go with a FC/ESC all-in-one or ditched the RunCam Split. Hope it helps and good luck with your build!

Thanks loads for the response. Once i've got the build sorted, i'll get it up here. Thanks again :D

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
