Desert Dreams freeranger. J-build.
can you use this frame for a little 7 inch acro or would the tbs source one be better?
I've acro'd the hell out of this frame. The Source 1 is a good frame, but the Raggio Lungo is a superb frame. The build quality is top notch, plenty of extra hardware, flush fitting everything, looks like a stealth heli, and it is pretty dang durable. The stretch-x has a great camera position for freestyle, and the action cam sits really low in the CG.
This is some footage when I was testing out different 6" props (sorry for the jiggles). Tell ya the truth, I like 7" better :D

Really nice build you have here. I am currently doing my first build after flying for about 3 months. I noticed that our fc/ escs and the vtx are the same i am seeking better information on how this all was wired. After videos on youtube i concluded that my 5v out powers my camara. Unsure on what to do with my audio wire my eagle pro 2 does have a mic.
Thanks Alex
Thanks Alexander. Happy to help you with the wiring. First off, make sure that you've got the HV version of the Unify- the HV version will work with VABA/VBAT also known as direct from battery current. Any other Unify (non-HV) must be wired to a 5v output on the FC. The HV will also provide a clean power signal and ground for your Eagle 2. This means, that you'll wire the VTX 7v-26v + lead and ground - to the VABA + and - on the FC. Join the harness for the Eagle 2 positive + to the 5v out of the Unify HV. The Eagle 2 harness ground - should either get soldered into the same ground position as the VTX, or it should solder directly in somewhere along the ground wire for the VTX. If you ground the camera elsewhere you will get a lot of unnecesary static. The Eagle 2 harness video out should solder into your FC VideoIN. The VTX Video in wire should solder to the FC VideoOUT... this will let you see the onscreen display in for valuable information coming from your FC. As per the mic on the Eagle, I don't use it, but I think it would wire directly into audio on the VTX harness. If you'd rather use the Audio wire of the VTX for Smart Audio, send that to UART RX6. Let me know if you have any questions about this, and I'll draw up a schematic.
Thanks recon, This is exactly what i was looking for. You mentioned that audio you dont used, I dont think i really need it at this point. should one completly remove the audio connector from both vtx side and camara. Or should i just remove it from the camara connector and have my audio from vtx and aslo soder it to my ground on the vbat/ ground on fc. Thanks
Awesome Build. I have ordered a Lungo and am awaiting its arrival. I was curious to how you wired up the gps on the xrotor f4? What pads did you use? Trying to figure out the best setup for my build. I was planning on using iNav for this build and was going to go with the Matek F4std since it is on the iNav supported boards list, I never knew that iNav supported the xrotor f4 board. I have a xrotor f4 and the esc combo and was going to put it in another build but I saw your build post and it peeked my interest. Thanks in advance for the reply.
Thanks for the kind words. This build was a dream. So much extra hardware! Just be sure to chamfer the battery strap slots. UART1 RX/TX are where the GPS is wired. UART3 RX/TX are for the Crossfire. Flight controller is flashed with the latest Butterflight, as it supports GPS OSD, and has beta RTH functions. The 300mm arms necessitated the addition of Race Wire to extend the motor leads all the way to the 4-in-1. Sorry, but I don't have any experience with iNav on any FC, so I'm unable to speak on if it is compatible with the Hobbywing. Best of luck!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

what flight time & range have you got..and any trouble tuning out jello?
Once the HQ6x3x3 and 7x3.5x3 were released, thr jello went away. 4S 2400mAh graphene Lipos will last 6:30-7 minutes of hard flying at low oxygen, read 12,000' to 13,000'. Have yet to fly it at sea level.
What flight time and range have you got after long period of using it?
