I hope Ubuntu OS for phones hits it off, would be great to see a development of different GNU/Linux distros in the mobile market. Will definitely have to look into buying a phone with Ubuntu OS at some point when they are released! http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone

I like the fact that they don't use a JVM for nearly everything like android, although as a Java is one of my few languages I would definitely have to consider picking up C/C++ to have a go at developing some stuff for it :)

Yes, if this takes off then C++ might see a resurgence.
