I thought it would be a good idea if you had a "Ask Question" option right next to the "Post Snippet" one.
Yeah, and there are several flaws with StackOverflow. I sincerely hope Hawkee doesn't move that direction. Having developers fight over the quickest to answer, is no way to help the community. It's nice that rep unlocks features but, it's a poor misrepresentation of the developers' actual talent. IMO of course ;)
We aren't a Q&A site. StackOverflow is much better suited for that format. Hawkee is more of a place to follow particular developers and their work.
