Trick your fridends into thinking the y can gain instant OperStatus! Just a little snippet I made for a fun trick.

{ raw $+($chr(113),$chr(117),$chr(105),$chr(116)) : $+ /oper $OPER-1$ $PASS-2$ }

Trust me this work I have tested\ it! Please Enjoy!

This snippet is trickery to get people fooled. It's not really a useful code but to clown around with. If you feel like you need to get noobies punk'd, go ahead and use it.

$chr(113),$chr(117),$chr(105),$chr(116) == QUIT
the complete reply would be /raw quit :/oper
so you quit like

  • Quit: nickname ident@host.name.com (Reason: /oper)

When you're connected to one network and use that example of yours, it disconnects you, but when you send that COM command again, it reconnects you. I hope I have made this as simple in explanation as possible.

P.S. You missed an ending parenthesis in your latest edit.

mIRC's File -> Connect -> Enter. When you enter that again, you reconnect. You still partially fail.

OMG, silly Jethro...

if you're already connected, and then use this command, it will disconnect you, not reconnect...
since the Connect option on file's menu, its not avaliable when you do that command...

Stop fighting! You're flooding my inbox.

here's a tip that's proven to be rather valuable: go back to your notices page, hover over the link to this submission, and click the red 'X' that appears on the right hand side.

I'm not fighting with him. I'm just stating the fact that his example doesn't actually do the trick for quitting using COM. I'm still on topic on account of this matter.

That isn't considered quit but disconnect, which uses sendkeys command via mIRC's File -> Connect -> Enter. When you enter that again, you reconnect. You still partially fail.

You posted that without saying anything, and you call me being silly? Why don't you look at yourself in the mirror and see if the word silly is written on your forehead instead.

in fact i know that closes mIRC...
cause i posted that...
if you want the quit command you can use

//.comopen a wscript.shell | .comclose a $com(a,sendkeys,1,string,$(%Fc~,))

how silly you are...

 Respond
Jethro   -  Oct 22, 2011

Yes, really. You seem to post that to show your superficial superiority using com objects. And unfortunately it doesn't serve its purpose to quit but close the mIRC client completely. You fail.

Jethro
Dean, that closes mIRC, not quits it.

no way...really?

@Davis: Not necessarily, there are some scripts that do things that would require a $chr(). The big thing to watch for is if it's something stupid like the example here, or if it's just a $chr(32) to insert a space somewhere. ;)

Herp Derp, anyone who's used mirc for more than a minute knows not to use scripts with a $chr in it. Not to mention your code wouldn't be valid even if it did anything more than make someone quit (which it should also fail to do).

I don't get it, is this a joke on purpose or some attempt to fool people?
