I did post an example of which every letter of a text gets randomized colors, but looking up I've realized it's been deleted. Sorry jack to see you being suffered visually. Truly, you didn't have to endure the pain from lame "bashes" at the expense of posters...you do have the right to hit that delete button.

Unnecessary comment, not to mention lame. :(

Anyway, I wonder if jackster35-1 tested this script because I definitely wouldn't call it "randomise".

[Plornt]   -  Feb 07, 2010

Yes hate is a strong word, but I generally dont like the way he speaks to people. Im not going to respect him because he tried to show others, including myself, up.

Stupid plornt :\, I take back liking your multi painting script.

An another example of his stupidity, unliking scripts just becuase he doesnt like the person. If you made a good script, I wouldnt rate it on how I like the person, I would rate it on quality. Also I still remember your comment on my old script "Oh ill rate it higher if you tell me how to make big bold red writing".

So dont call me stupid, look at yourself.

go get a life [plornt]

I think you missunderstood my "na" i was saying, its not that i dont like yours, its just that we was trying to improove apon, or make alternate versions.

Jethro   -  Feb 07, 2010

Hate is too strong of a word, really. But to be respected is to respect other people first by setting up a good example, rather than put people down and act you're all that, and be ostentatious to a point that you refuse to admit that you're wrong. Last but not least, trying to cover up the mistakes that you've made is the shallowest act one can do to degrade his or her own respectfulness. Ghost-writer should know this by heart already...

Hating people you dont even know is shallow, especially on the internet.. Im doing everything hes doing^. And the only reason i like/respect ghost-writer, he makes DECENT (Not great :P) Scripts :).

Jethro_ Said:

Either you have a copy of mirc that relays your personality or whatever. The judges have spoken and sentenced you guilty, and you should admit it.

I about died laughing at that... thanks Jethro_ you made my day....

Ghost-writer Said:

eh, while loop.

Alias randomize {
  var %x 1
  while (%x >= 11) {
    msg $chan $+($chr(3),%x) $1-
    dec %x
  }
}

ur's is wrong deal with it....

= larger than or equal to

<= smaller than or equal to

Regardless of the right or wrong, the truth of the matter is your initial example DIDN'T work. I don't know why it only works for you while fails on other people. Either you have a copy of mirc that relays your personality or whatever. The judges have spoken and sentenced you guilty, and you should admit it.

Ghost-writer   -  Feb 02, 2010

Plornt are you god damn blind?!
[b]alias randomise {
var %r = 1
while (%r <= 11) {
say $+($chr(3),%r) $$1-
inc %r
}
}
[/b]
Mine does not say greater it says smaller :@.

 Respond
[Plornt]   -  Feb 02, 2010

Ghostwriter, it doesnt work.

var %x 1
while (%x >= 11) {

If your starting at 1 then its never going to be >= 11 because 1 is not greater or equal to 11.

EDIT: if your reading this and looking at me as though im a retard, the fucktard below me edited the script >.> .... And still failed

If your so badly wanting to do it like the posters then:

Alias randomize {
var %x 1
while (%x <= 11) {
msg $chan $+($chr(3),$calc(11- %x)) $1-
inc %x
}
}

That will do the colours backwards...

(i hope)

There is no issue! Gummo, what the hell are you talking about?! It works perfectly fine, load it in your remote. In the script displayed it goes up to 11, excatly what mine did. And jethros goes from 11-1 whitch means he did it oppisite of the posters. Im right jethro, your wrong. Look into it.

 Respond
Jethro   -  Feb 01, 2010

Ghost-writer, before you alibied yourself, have you looked at your example closely and sought out the issue why it's not working? Thanks to Gummo, he pointed out the culprit for you.

The $$ will make sure the $1- is typed, or else you will get 11 empty lines upon entering /randomise only.

 Respond
Gummo   -  Feb 01, 2010

No, Ghost-writer, your while loop was effective while your variable was >= 11 and you decreased it from 1 - it would never do anything..

 Respond
Ghost-writer   -  Feb 01, 2010

Wtf jethro? You reversed it and added a $ to make sure theres a $1-, big deal???

ghost-writer, make sure you've tested your example and ensured that it works. This is correct:

alias randomise {
  var %r = 1
  while (%r <= 11) {
    say $+($chr(3),%r) $$1-
    inc %r
  }
}
