Ghost-writer, you posted here just to hit on this "peachy girl" you've been longing for? Give me a break...

on *:connect: {
 if (!$network) {
  if ($server == <myserver>) { scid $cid myoper }
  else { halt }
 }
elseif ($network) {
  if ($network == <mynetwork) { scid $cid myoper }
 }
}
alias -l myoper { oper MyLogin MyPass }

To make it useful both ways. I could make a giant long script for it, but I wont. :P

Good deal. ^-^ I'm just glad he's learning to do more useful things at all. After he's done learning he can help explain somethings to me! = P Rofl. He's having me make him an MP3 Player though... I think it'll be the death of me... x_X Why can't mIRC just love me and read the stupid infinity sign????? xD -clueless-

No worries P34ch :)
I was just pointing out that the script, as posted, wouldn't work on a consistent basis and needed to be changed.
I definitely have no interest in insulting anyone or discrediting their efforts.

Lol, I know dear. I said that I wasn't directing the comment at you specifically. I'm just tired of how everyone says that everything is "useless" when everything has a use. It's just one of my pet peeves is all. = P It was more me being tired of seeing the words than anything. Though you used "not useful" which is practically the same thing. -Is only pointing this out b/c she's been in fights where she didn't say how the wording fits in with her problem and it took ages to get her point across.

It's just an honest comment P34ch. As long as this script is using $server, it will not be useful to anyone who doesn't connect directly to a Specific server. Unless you are on a network that only has One server, of course.
All the servers on a irc network share the $network identifier. The $server identifier is unique to every server.
Type this

//echo -a Network = $network -- Server = $server

An example output is this -->> Network = Abjects -- Server = lava.qc.ca.abjects.net
From a Second Client -->> Network = Abjects -- Server = triad.bc.ca.abjects.net
The $network name for this Network will always be Abjects, no matter which $server you have connected to.
This is why using $server for a script like this is, at best, impractical.

I love how everyone throws those words around.... "useful"... "useless"... If it has a use, it's useful. It might simply be to entertain you, or to look pretty, but it's a use. And if he uses it, it works. Honestly, that was starting to bug me... And to Ford, I am not trying to be rude to you, it just seems that I see that everywhere I look. In your case, I see that you're trying to help him get better, I just had to get that out. >.< Anyway, loves you Ry-Ry, and keep up the good work! That MP3 Player is kicking my butt! x_X I will figure out how to make the infinity sign in there though. >.< Connor promised it's possible, just difficult. Anyway, see you when you get back on! <3

I still don't understand the use of $server. You should be using $network if you are trying to make a useful snippet.
