Here are some Minor Popup's for the BETA version of our Script. aIRC should be out in a long time, Due to some errors and bug's our Team has found. We're still adding onto some things. But anyway's, here's some Popups that go in the Nicklist. And then the one below the NickList popups go into the Status or MenuBar. Whichever one(s) you prefer.
But also this Snippet was mostly for the Noobs who don\'t really need all these advanced Popups and Script things. Those are coming next. But Like I said, I\'ve been busy alot. So in the mean-time, just hang in for awhile. :)
Meh. If you\'re making a client, which I think you are. you should check out Zyble and see how nice you can make a chat.
www.zyble.net or www.zyble.com
Just a reference.
I\'m working on a client right now, too. It takes a while to complete/ If I were you, I\'d give it a more refined appearance,, not a raw appearance.
Example:
For kick, do this:
Kick: kick $1 $$?=\"Reason for kicking $1 $+ :\"
Ban: ban $1 $$?=\"Reason for banning $1 $+ :\"
Only one type of kick and ban. Of course you can make an alias for the kick. But make the alias of the ban like this:
alias ban { mode $chan +b $1 | kick $1 $2- }
That way, when they kick the user, it bans them too. If a user deserves a ban, the owner obviously wants them out of the room, so kick them out while you\'re at it. Don\'t make it seem like a raw mIRC. Make it seem like it\'s all custom. Every little bit of it.
The script is ok, I would use the nHTMLn.dll for the internet connection part, and your bans will not really work that well. You have them set to ban by nick, and it is very easy to bypass them. I would use:
.ban -k # $nick 3
... $nick 3 == !user@.host or you could use $nick 13 which is: !*user@?.host, which is a little more accurate of a ban for aol users.
